When I got that first photo of my grandson, I had no idea it would change everything. I didn’t even know my daughter was pregnant. But in that moment, I knew I’d do whatever it took to keep him safe.

The text woke me up, I saw the picture of a baby boy and immediately I said is that my daughter‘s baby? Mind you this was her boyfriend who sent me the picture so I was pretty sure. we were in the middle of Covid and I could not even go to the hospital so I was freaking out. First of all, I didn’t even know my daughter was pregnant! And now here we have a baby and I wasn’t even there to help her through it . My mind was blown and my world was rocked! I was literally in shock. And then the worst part was finding out he was positive with methamphetamine. 😱😭😭
