Grandma raising Grandson

Unexpectedly becoming a full-time grandparent

What’s something most people don’t know about me?

Something most people don’t know about me I didn’t graduate from high school. Life took me down a different path, and at the time, it felt like doors were closing everywhere. But I never stopped believing in myself. I went back and earned my GED, and that moment reminded me that it’s never too late to rewrite your story. I’m proud of the journey, the struggles, and the growth it brought me. 🎓💖

Well done! Just happened upon your blog as it was the first one appeared in response to the daily question. I also never finished high school, but never gave up. I completed my GED when I lived in Colorado.

I went back and read through some of your blog posts. May God bless you and give you the strength you need every day to face the challenges. I find myself in a similar situation as well. A grandbaby on the way and a son that can barely take care of himself because of illness. Both are moving back into our home. Thank you for sharing your experiences.

Thank you so much for sharing that with me! 💖 I’m truly honored that my story inspired you. Congratulations on getting your GED! that’s such a huge accomplishment! It sounds like you have a lot on your plate with your son and his upcoming baby, but your strength and love are amazing. Remember to take care of yourself too you’re doing more than you realize, and your dedication will make a difference for your family. 🌸 My grandson is five now, and I can tell you it’s been a rough road at times, but the joy and pride make every challenge worth it. If you ever have questions or just want someone to talk to, please feel free to reach out. You’re not alone, and you can do this. 🌸💪

😲 Wow, that is truly inspirational! To have the strength and persistence to forge your own path, despite setbacks, is something to be immensely proud of.

Your journey shows that the traditional path isn’t the only way forward—sometimes, it takes courage to carve out your own. And it’s so important for people to know that, especially when they feel like doors are closing or they’re facing struggles. Your story is a beacon of hope for those who feel lost or uncertain.

Your pride in your journey is well-deserved.🤗
